This is a rare double specimen of a classic U.S. trilobite. It is a pair of Arctinurus boltoni from the Silurian of New York. This is one of the most sought-after and displayable types of trilobites in the world. We collected the quarry for a year, and only found a handful of complete specimens, and only one double. Both trilobites are wonderfully articulated, very prone, and exhibit fine detail. The cephalic processes (''snouts'') are easily seen, the pleural spines terminate in sharp points, and the broad, fan-shaped pygidia are beautifully displayed. The fossils have great color and contrast and are nicely showcased on the rectangular matrix plate. This is an extremely rare natural double example of this highly collectible Lichid trilobite.
