This is an excellent specimen of Lancastria placenta from the Cambrian of China. This type of trilobite has many thoracic segments with long pleural spines. This HUGE specimen is wonderfully articulated and exhibits great detail. The flaring genal spines are intact, and the extremely long pleural spines are beautifully displayed. Even the small pygidium is present and tightly attached. The bug has good color and contrast and is nicely showcased on the natural plate of matrix. This is a very fine example of this spiny trilobite from China.
