This is a wonderful display trilobite. It is a large Asaphus (Neoasaphus) cornutus from St. Petersburg, Russia. The trilobite is very inflated and 3-D. The bug is nicely articulated and exhibits fine detail. The rich, caramel-brown color of the trilobite contrasts strikingly with the light-colored matrix. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the large plate of limestone. This is a very aesthetic Asaphid trilobite from Russia.
