This is an awesome Canadian trilobite. It is a beautiful Leviceraurus mammilloides from Ontario, Canada. We acquired this stunning specimen from a major trilobite collection - collecting in the Cobourg Formation quarries is now strictly forbidden! The trilobite is well articulated and very inflated for this type. The thick shell exoskeleton is amazingly well-preserved, and the chocolate-brown coloration of the bug is quite striking. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the rectangular matrix block. And, best of all, there is no restoration whatsoever to either of the tailspines! This is a super display piece - a fabulous example of this elusive type of Ceraurus from Canada.
