This is a very unusual Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is a Protolenus densigranulatus from South Morocco. Although this name may be incorrect or outdated, this type is extremely rare. This specimen has both free cheeks present, with the long genal spines intact. The trilobite also has very short pleurons, giving the bug its unusual look. The natural coloration contrasts beautifully with the light-colored, sculpted matrix. This is one trilobite you do not see every day, especially in this high quality and completeness.
