Here is a complete specimen of an extremely rare trilobite. This is possibly a Reedops sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. This unusual type of Phacopid trilobite has a smooth glabella and small compound eyes, which are positioned very low, towards the front of the cephalon. The eyes are wonderfully showcased on this specimen - almost all of the individual lenses are very clearly defined. The trilobite is very 3-dimensionally preserved in a crawling position. The thick-shelled exoskeleton exhibits great detail and has natural, dark brown coloration. The bug is nicely showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a very displayable specimen of this highly uncommon trilobite.
