This is a large example of a very uncommon trilobite. It is a ''True'' Calymenella from the Ordovician Selenopeltis Beds of Morocco. This specimen is well over seven inches long - large by any standards. The detail is nice, especially for a trilobite preserved in sandstone. The bug is EXTREMELY inflated and 3-D, and displays beautifully on the large sandstone plate. This is a fine example of this very unusual type, and is the only specimen of this type that we have ever seen.
