This is a fine specimen of Coronocephalus sp. from the Silurian of China. This type of trilobite has an extremely small, pustulose glabella and a huge pygidium. This trilobite is nicely preserved in a prone position and exhibits wonderful detail. The fossil has striking orange-brown color and contrasts beautifully with the brownish-grey matrix. The bug is well presented on the somewhat rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very good example of this large Silurian trilobite.
