Here is a very aesthetic specimen of Zlichovaspis rugosa from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. It is preserved in a 3-dimensional manner and exhibits great detail. The large, crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen - and many of the individual lenses are clearly defined. The long, broad genal spines and the short caudal spine are nicely displayed. The fossil has excellent, brown to black coloration and contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well presented on the large, sculpted plate of limestone. This is a very fine example of Zlichovaspis rugosa from Morocco.
