As everyone knows, complete Carboniferous trilobites are quite rare and highly collectible. This is a fine specimen of Breviphillipsia sampsoni from the Mississippian of Missouri. This trilobite was found in the limestone layers, which is extremely unusual. The trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. The free cheeks are intact, and the detail is well preserved. The brown color of the trilobites contrasts beautifully with the grey matrix block. This is a very unusual Breviphillipsia trilobite found in the limestone.
