This is an excellent example of a Triarthrus eatoni from New York State. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 2003. The trilobite is extremely inflated and 3-D. The bug has very good detail preserved, including an intact row of axial spines. The fossil is nicely centered on a plate of black shale. This is a very fine example of this classic Upper Ordovician trilobite from New York.
