This is a great example of an unusual Upper Cambrian trilobite. It is a fabulous Labiostria westropi from British Columbia, Canada. This specimen was recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. This type of trilobite has long pleural spines and a small fan-tail. This specimen is complete with both free cheeks intact and tightly attached. The trilobite has great detail preserved on both halves of the concretion. The bug is very inflated and has nice natural color and contrast. This is a well preserved example of a large, split pair Labiostria from the DeRosear Collection (Number 56).
