Here is a large specimen of Greenops widderensis that just happens to be very well preserved. This bug is from the Devonian of Arkona, Ontario, Canada. This prone trilobite is nicely inflated and wonderfully articulated. It exhibits incredible detail - the thick exoskeleton of the trilobite is completely covered with fine pustules. Under magnification, the preservation is quite beautiful. The broad genal spines are complete to the very tips and prominently displayed. The pygidial spines are also quite evident. The fossil has great color and contrast and is well presented on the squared block of shale. This is a fabulous Greenops widderensis from Canada
