This is a beautiful example of a rare UK trilobite. It is a very scarce Trinucleus abruptus from the Upper Gilwern Quarry in Powys, Wales. This specimen was acquired from a major British collection. This trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. The textbook pitted fringe is intact and nicely showcased. The bug is very well centered on the natural block of dense shale. This is easily one of the best examples of this unusual type that we have ever seen.
