This is a nice multiple slab of Ampyxina bellatula from Pike County, Missouri. This plate has about 8 complete trilobites preserved, along with many partials. This slab represents an Ordovician sea floor, with the trilobites rapidly buried alive. The top of the rock is covered with trilobites - there are very few blank spaces. One of the trilobites still has its long, thin genal spines intact, which is rare for this type. This is a great multiple plate of Ampyxina from Missouri.
