This is a very large European trilobite. It is an Ectillaenus giganteus from Portugal. This specimen is just huge - over five inches long! The natural matrix plate is also a full nine inches long. The striking color is fully natural, a beautiful yellow-orange. The detail is excellent - even the ''skin'' lines on the pleurons are preserved. This is not only a collectible trilobite, this is one of the largest, most colorful European trilobites we've ever had.
