This is a very sought-after US trilobite. It is a huge Zacanthoides typicalis from Nevada. This specimen was recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. This bug is very well articulated and has fine detail preserved. The long axial spine is intact and extrends well past the pygidium. The bug is nicely centered on the semi-rectangular matrix plate. This is one of the largest examples of this type we have ever seen. It is a very nice specimen of this hard-to-find Cambrian trilobite from of the DeRosear Collection (Number 634).
