This is a rare US trilobite. It is a large Alokistocare harrisi from the Elrathia Layers of Millard County, Utah. The trilobite was recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. It has both free cheeks intact, which is quite unusual. The thick shell exoskeleton is covered with small bumps and pustules. The black-colored trilobite is ''loose'' - totally free of matrix. This is a very fine example of this multi-segmented trilobite from Utah, formerly a part of the DeRosear Collection (Number 171).
