This is a rare European trilobite. It is a large Archegonus (Phillibole) aprathensis from the Mississippian of Germany. As everyone knows, complete Carboniferous trilobites are quite rare and highly collectible. And ones this large are almost unheard of! This specimen is complete with both free cheeks intact. The articulation of this trilobite is practically perfect. The bug has great detail and natural color preserved. The trilobite is easily seen on the large matrix plate that also contains other trilobite remains.
