This is a very nice trilobite trace fossil. It is a Rusophycus pudicum (trilobite resting place, or ''nest'') from the Ordovician of Kentucky. This Rusophycus was probably made by a Flexicalymene trilobite. The ''nest'' is very 3-dimensional and is well positioned on the natural plate of limestone that is chock full of many different fossils. No trilobite collection is complete without one of these fossils. It is a very detailed and collectible trilobite trace fossil.
