This is a spectacular plate of trilobites from the Devonian of Morocco. This specimen was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. An extremely 3-dimensional Phacops speculator is displayed on the block of limestone. This trilobite is well articulated and exhibits excellent detail. A complete Cornuproetus cornutus is also preserved on the plate. This trilobite is nicely enrolled and the fine detail of the trilobite is clearly defined. Both genal spines have been meticulously prepared in a free-standing position for optimal display. The bugs have great color and contrast beautifully with the sculpted grey matrix. And best of all, they are completely natural to the plate - they have not been composited or altered! This is a beautifully-prepared example of a natural trilobite double from Morocco.
