This is a very large, spiny trilobite. It is a complete Drotops armatus from Morocco. This colorful specimen was prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. This large trilobite (five and a half inches long!) has many, many free-standing spines protruding from the head, body, and tail. The compound faceted eyes are large and well displayed. The bug is extremely 3-D and is beautifully showcased on the sculpted matrix block. This is a very displayable example of this large Moroccan ''Spiny Phacops''.
