Here is an extremely nice trilobite trace fossil. These are trilobite trackways from the Mississippian of Indiana. This plate has several trackways - over seven inches of trackway are present. The trackways exhibit very good detail. You can easily see how the legs of the trilobite pushed up ridges of mud as the trilobite crawled along the sea floor bottom. The trackways are nicely positioned on the large, natural plate of limestone. No trilobite collection is complete unless it contains a nice trackway.
