Here is an extremely interesting trace fossil. It is a trilobite trackway from the Pennsylvanian of Oklahoma. This specimen has excellent detail - you can easily see how the legs of the trilobite pushed up ridges of mud as the trilobite crawled along the sea floor bottom. The trackway is robust, well defined and has substantial relief with matrix. It is nicely presented on the natural plate of sandstone. This is a very nice trilobite trackway from the Pennsylvanian, when trilobites were almost extinct.
