This is an excellent, outstretched specimen of Kainops raymondi cleaned by the famous preparator, Bob Carroll. Kainops can be differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses present in the eyes. The lenses of the eyes and the caramel-colored exoskeleton are beautifully displayed. The trilobite is very inflated and 3-D. But the real rarity of this fossil is the size of the matrix - it is extremely unusual to find a complete Haragan bug centered on a large block of matrix! This is a very displayable example of an outstretched Kainops raymondi from Oklahoma.
