Here is an amazing death plate of trilobites from the Middle Cambrian ''Red Beds'' of Utah. There are MANY specimens of Elrathia kingi, at least two examples of Baltagnostus eurypyx (a spiny agnostus), and at least one Perenopsis interstrictus (a simple agnostus) on this plate. All of these trilobites are natural to the plate - no compositing or addition of trilobites has been done to this incredible specimen. Some of the Elrathia are very large and have both free cheeks intact and tightly attached. The brownish-red color of the trilobites contrasts beautifully with the pinkish matrix. The bugs are just teeming on the somewhat triangular plate of shale that also contains many juvenile and enrolled trilobites (rare). This is a very collectible multiple specimen of three different trilobites from the Wheeler Shale.
