This is an excellent example of an unusual trilobite. It is a complete Microparia (Microparia) major from Shropshire, England. This specimen was acquired from a collection of British trilobites. This type is thought to be a deep-water trilobite, which is very unusual. This specimen is nicely outstretched and has excellent detail preserved. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the colorful plate of shale. This is a collectible example of this very unusual trilobite from England.
