This is a rare US trilobite. It is an outstretched Ditomopyge parvulus from Northeast Oklahoma. As most collectors know, Pennsylvanian trilobites are very rare - complete, prone ones are even rarer. And a complete, prone Ditomopyge from Oklahoma is almost unheard of. This specimen IS complete with both free cheeks intact and tight. The bug is fully outstretched and very inflated and 3-D. The trilobite is free of matrix and displays beautifully in its special display case. Less than one in a hundred of this type is found outstretched, and only a handful have ever been found of this quality.
