This is an unusual European trilobite. It is a Paradoxides pradoanus from Spain. We acquired this specimen from a major European trilobite collection. This trilobite is a little disarticulated, but complete. The distinct pygidium and both free cheeks are tightly attached, which is extremely rare. The large bug is nicely inflated and displays very well. The greenish shell of the trilobite contrasts strikingly with the reddish-pink matrix. This is a very fine example of a trilobite you do not see every day.
