This is a nice, outstretched specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Devonian of Oklahoma. Kainops can be differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses present in the eyes. This trilobite is very inflated and 3-D. The lenses of the eyes and the caramel-colored exoskeleton are quite evident. But the real rarity of this fossil is the size of the matrix - it is extremely unusual to find a complete Haragan bug centered on a 5.0" X 5.5" block of matrix! This is a very displayable example of an outstretched Kainops raymondi from Oklahoma.
