This is a very fine example of Reedops maurulus from the Devonian of Morocco. Reedops are very under-appreciated because they look so much like the more common Phacops. This trilobite is very well preserved in an outstretched position. The 3-dimensional bug is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The ancient arthropod has great natural color and contrast and is beautifully presented on the plate of sculpted limestone. This is a very nice example of Reedops maurulus at an extremely affordable price.
