This is a wonderful Cambrian trilobite. It is an Eccaparadoxides sp. from the Cambrian of Morocco. This specimen is complete and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are present, which is EXTREMELY unusual for this trilobite. There is no question that the bug is original, as the counterpart is also present (although not pictured). The inflated trilobite exhibits wonderful detail - the long, sweeping genal spines are totally intact, the crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen, and the pleural spines are clearly defined. The trilobite has absolutely spectacular natural color and is well presented on the somewhat rectangular plate of matrix that also contains a molted bug. This is a collectible specimen of this uncommon Cambrian trilobite.
