This is a nice plate of Phacopid trilobites. It is a pair of Eldredgeops milleri from the famous Silica Shale Quarries of Sylvania, Ohio. One of the trilobites is outstretched, while the other is partially enrolled. Both bugs are very 3-D and have excellent thick shell exoskeleton preserved. The compound facets on all four eyes are essentially perfect. The trilobites are nicely showcased on the large limestone block that also contains a nice pryitized brachiopod. This is a fine display plate of these classic Devonian trilobites.
