This is an excellent trilobite. It is an unusual Odontochile spinifera from the Devonian of Morocco. This species of Odontochile has numerous pustules and nodes covering the entire exoskeleton of the trilobite. This bug is very 3-dimensional and nicely preserved in the ''crawling'' position. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The pustules of the thick-shelled exoskeleton are quite evident and the long, sweeping genal spines and the short caudal spine are easily seen. The individual lenses of the large, crescent-shaped eyes are beautifully displayed. The trilobite has great color and contrast and is well presented on the natural plate of limestone. This is an outstanding specimen of this highly uncommon species of Odontochile.
