This is simply one of the most beautiful trilobites ever prepared. It is a spectacular Phacops speculator from Morocco. This Phacops is not just beautiful, it is unbelievable. The rock matrix has been professionally extracted from around the trilobite, giving the appearance it is floating in mid-air! The base, too, has been expertly sculpted - it really does look like an artist's sculpture, not a fossil. The trilobite is super clean and the compound eye facets are excellent. And the hypostoma (mouthplate) has been exposed - what more could you want?
