This is a very unusual trilobite. It is an unidentified Cyphaspis from Morocco. This type differs from the common Cyphaspis in that it has a distinct occipital spine and an axial spine emanating from the third segment, along with the long axial spine radiating from the sixth segment. The eyes are also more bulbous and less stalked. This type is also tiny - less than a half an inch long. This is a very fine example of this unusually spiny Cyphaspis.
