This is an excellent spiny trilobite. It is a giant Long-Horned Kettneraspis from Morocco. This bug is huge - over two inches wide at the spine tips! The bug has great natural color and very fine detail. The long pleural spines are intact, as are the fine fringes on the free cheeks. The stalked eyes and long occipital ''horn'' were all prepared free-standing. And the way the bug lays on the matrix is simply beautiful. This is a very collectible example of this ''showy'' Odontopleurid trilobite - extremely hard-to-find in this condition.
