This is a very unusual Cambrian trilobite. It is a Protolenus densigranulatus from the Cambropallas Beds of Morocco. This specimen has both free cheeks present, with both long genal spines intact. The trilobite also has very short pleural spines, giving the bug its unusual look. The trilobite's natural coloration contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. This is one trilobite you do not see everyday, especially in this high quality and completeness. (The counterpart to this trilobite is included, but not shown.)
