This is an extremely uncommon trilobite. It is a Calymene blumenbachi from the Silurian of England. Silurian trilobites from England are among the most sought-after trilobites among collectors. This type of trilobite was first found over 100 years ago. This trilobite is quite inflated and nicely preserved in an outstretched position. The dark brown bug contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. It is well-centered on the natural plate of limestone. This is a fine example of this rare ''Dudley Bug'' from the Wenlock.
