This is a fantastic specimen of Bolaspidella sp. from the Cambrian of Utah. This species of Bolaspidella has a semicircular cephalon with a very prominent upturned convex border and no spine on the occipital ring. This trilobite is quite large for the type and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. Even the tiny pygidium is intact. The short, flaring genal spines are beautifully displayed and the small eyes are easily seen. The dark brownish-black bug contrasts superbly with the gray matrix. This is a very ''clean and crisp'' example of Bolaspidella from the Marjum Formation.
