This is an extremely rare trilobite. It is a very large Lonchodomas drummuckensis from the famous fossil beds at Girvan, Scotland. This specimen is huge - the largest example of a Lonchodomas of any species that we have seen. The bug is complete, only missing the right genal spine. The body and tail are fully intact, just curled down at about a 90 degree angle. But the most distinct feature of this trilobite is the nose spine - this specimen showcases its huge nose spine beautifully. This is a very large, wonderfully preserved example of this extremely hard-to-find trilobite from Scotland. We may never find another example of this trilobite this large and this nice again.
