Here is a very fine US trilobite. This is a Flexicalymene retrorsa from the Ordovician of Ohio. This trilobite is wonderfully prone and very 3-dimensionally preserved. It is extremely well articulated and exhibits fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. Every pleuron tip is unusually intact. The dark brown trilobite contrasts beautifully with the gray matrix. It is nicely presented on a large, natural block of shale. This is a very ''clean'' example of Flexicalymene retrorsa from the Ordovician.
