Here is an uncommon trilobite. This is a very nice specimen of Lonchodomas suriensis from the Ordovician of Argentina. The outstretched trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The trilobite has great color and contrast and is well presented on the natural block of shale. There are also other complete and partial specimens on the plate (one is in the lower left corner of the photo!). This is a very fine example of an unusual Lonchodomas from Argentina.
Note: Argentina has now banned the export of all fossils. We will strictly abide by and enforce this law - we will not acquire new fossils from Argentina. However, this fossil was collected and exported prior to this law, and can be sold legally.
