Here is a classic trilobite from Wales. This is a large specimen of Ampyx linleyensis from the Ordovician. The trilobite exhibits excellent detail. The broad, triangular cephalon even preserves a substantial portion of the nose spine. This trilobite is very nicely articulated and is well showcased on a large, natural plate of matrix that contains other trilobite parts. Often, the Ordovician trilobites from this site are hard to decipher because of the size of the specimen or the lack of detail - this is not the case with this specimen. This is a very large, displayable Ampyx from the U. K.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
