This is an unusual trilobite. It is a Ditomopyge scitula from the Pennsylvanian of Ohio. As everyone knows, trilobites from the Pennsylvanian Period are extremely rare. Although the free cheeks are missing, the specimen is extremely inflated and the overall detail is quite good. The trilobite has very nice color and contrast and is well presented on the plate of limestone. This is a fine example of a highly uncommon trilobite from the Coal Age.
