Here is an interesting trilobite that we recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. It is a Reacalymene limba from the Ordovician of Wales. Doug acquired this specimen in 1979, and it has been in his collection ever since. The trilobite is complete and very 3-dimensional. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The bug shows hardly any lateral compression, which is very unusual for this site. The trilobite has very good color and contrast and is almost perfectly centered on the somewhat rectangular plate of matrix. This is a nice example of this classic European trilobite.
