This is a very collectible trilobite. It is a rare Scabriscutellum scabrum from the Devonian of Morocco. This type of Scutellid has granulations covering the entire exoskeleton of the trilobite. This trilobite is nicely outstretched and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. This wide-bodied bug exhibits fine detail. The small, protruding eyes are easily seen, and even the tiny, tiny individual lenses of the eyes are well defined. The natural coloration of the trilobite is just wonderful, and the bug is beautifully showcased on the somewhat oval plate of limestone. This is a very displayable example of this highly uncommon trilobite from the Atlas Mountains.
