This is a great trilobite that we recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. It is an Ehmaniella sp. from the Middle Cambrian of Montana. Doug obtained this specimen in 1985, and it has been in his collection ever since. This uncommon trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits great detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which is EXTREMELY unusual for this genus of trilobite. Even the tiny pygidium is present. The exoskeleton of the bug is intact and covered with fine pustules which are beautifully displayed. The trilobite has very good color and contrast and is well centered on the rectangular plate of shale that also contains many other trilobite fragments. This is an excellent specimen of Ehmaniella from the Meagher Limestone.
