Here is a nice trilobite from an unusual site. This appears to be an Olenus from the Cambrian of Sweden. This trilobite is outstretched and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are easily seen, and the tiny pygidium is intact. One of the free cheeks is even present, which is quite rare for this particular type of trilobite. The trilobite is well presented on the natural plate of shale that is extremely crowded with other trilobite parts. This is a very good example of Olenus from Sweden.
