This is a very pretty specimen of Parabolina spinulosa from the Cambrian of Wales. This type of trilobite has pleural spines that increase in length toward the pygidium and even longer pygidial spines that are very slender in appearance. All of these spines are beautifully displayed on this specimen. The unusual orange coloration of the spines is totally natural and very striking. Although the free cheeks are missing on this trilobite, the overall quality of the bug is quite nice. The trilobite is wonderfully centered on the somewhat rectangular plate of shale. This is an extremely attractive example of this Cambrian trilobite from Europe.
